MEDICARE ADVANTAGE
Medicare Advantage also known as Medicare Part C are plans offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. The benefits and premium for these plans vary based on where you live. Many plans are available with $0 monthly premium. These plans are required to cover the standards set by Medicare. Many of these plans offer additional benefits such as fitness club membership, prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, hearing, and Over the Counter (OTC).
ELIGIBILITY: You must be enrolled in Medicare with both Part A and Part B active.

These plans utilize a provider network. It’s important to verify your providers are in network. Two common types of plans are: HMO and PPO.
HMO

Requires a referral from Primary Care Physician to see a specialist

Can see a provider out of network but will pay less if utilizing an in-network provider
